Oaths and Affirmations
Administration of an oath or affirmation for a person who must solemnly declare that a statement or testimony is truthful. An affirmation is available for individuals who prefer not to take a religious oath.
What this service involves
The person appears in person, is identified, and solemnly swears or affirms to the truth of a statement. The notary administers the oath or affirmation and completes the required certificate; the notary does not evaluate whether the statement is true.
