Personal documents are handled with discretion and care. The document should be complete before the appointment, and every signer named in the notarial certificate must be present with acceptable identification.

Not every document can be notarized. The document type, identification, the signer's presence, willingness and awareness, and applicable New Jersey requirements must be reviewed first.
